Standard, Mini, and Micro Mini Bernedoodles in California

Our Multigen Bernedoodles are something we are very proud of. Their consistency with coat type, structure, temperament and health has really come together over the last few years.

What is a multigenertaional Bernedoodle?

A multigen Bernedoodle is a Doodle who has two Doodle parents past the F2 generation. 

F1- Bernese Mountain dog (or any coated breed) crossed with a poodle. All puppies will have a furnished (one copy F/IC) wavy (one copy of curl -/+), low to non shedding coat. The degree of shedding and furnishings will vary.

F1b- F1 Doodle crossed back to a Poodle. Puppies from this cross may have a wavy -/+ or curly +/+ coat and have the chance of being furnished F/IC or fully furnished FF.

F2- F1 Doodle crossed with another F1 Doodle. This is the most inconsistent generation of Doodles. Puppies from this cross can have a straight -/-, wavy -/+ or curly +/+ coat. They can be unfurnished IC/IC, furnished F/IC or fully furnished. With any combination on those two locus. Example- Fully furnished and +/+ curly coated or unfurnished and -/+ wavy coated. 

Most of our multigen Bernedoodle litters will have one (possibly two) fully furnished parent/s who is/are also -/- for curl (Think Jerry). 

Our micro mini Bernedoodles will mature in the 15-25 lb range, mini Bernedoodles in the 25-40 lb range, mini / medium  Bernedoodles will mature in the 30-50 lb range and our standard multigen Bernedoodles will mature in the 50-80 lb range. We strive for fully furnished, straight or wavy coats that are as low to non shedding as possible. Genetic coat testing is done on all of our breeding dogs to ensure we match up only the best possible pair both health and coat wise. We put a lot of time and effort into making sure our matches are perfect.

What is The Temperament of a Bernedoodle?

The Bernedoodle has a calm and gentle nature. They are sweet, loving, cuddly, and great with children. They tend to have an easier going nature which also means they can be slower to learn something new when it comes to training. 

What colors do Bernedoodles commonly come in?

Each Bernedoodle has its own unique coat, much like their personalities. A Bernedoodle’s coloring is also unique and can include black tri, blue merle tri, chocolate merle tri, chocolate tri and red and white. Depending on their genetic coat make up, they can have straigh, wavy or curly coats.

Do you breed Munchkin Bernedoodles?

Yes we do. If you love the sweet, teddy bear look of a Bernedoodle but are looking for a much smaller companion, you may fall in love with the Munchkin Bernedoodle.
A Munchkin Bernedoodle is a carefully planned combination of Bernese Mountain Dog, Poodle, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel genetics. The goal is to create a smaller, well-balanced companion while preserving the qualities families love about Bernedoodles: their affectionate personalities, beautiful coats, playful nature, and gentle, easygoing temperament. Munchkin Bernedoodles are typically around 10 to 25 pounds as adults, making them an easy size to take along on everyday adventures.

Their smaller size can be a wonderful fit for families who want a companion that is easier to carry, travel with, or accommodate in a smaller home. But don't let their size fool you—they are still playful, curious, intelligent dogs that enjoy walks, playtime, training, and exploring with their families.
