Do Shady Oak Doodles puppies receive a veterinary exam before going home?
Yes. Every puppy receives an 8-week veterinary examination and is cleared by our licensed veterinarian before going home. Puppies are kept up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and families receive their puppy’s veterinary records, including exams, vaccines and health history. Every puppy is also microchipped before leaving Shady Oak Doodles.
Do your puppies come with pet insurance?
Yes. Our puppies include 30 days of complimentary pet insurance through Trupanion. Families must complete the required enrollment within the applicable timeframe to activate coverage.
What comes home with my Shady Oak Doodles puppy?
Each puppy goes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket with mom’s scent, favorite toys and chews, and a custom Shady Oak tote bag. Families also receive their puppy’s veterinary records and other important go-home information.
Do Shady Oak Doodles puppies come with a health guarantee?
Yes. Our puppies come with a 24-month health guarantee covering qualifying life-threatening symptomatic congenital defects and genetic diseases. Complete terms and conditions are provided in our Puppy Contract.
Can I visit Shady Oak Doodles and meet a puppy before deciding?
Yes. Appointments to meet available puppies are held in person at our ranch in San Diego County, California. Because we are a working breeding and training program and have young puppies on the property, visits are scheduled by appointment rather than as general public tours.
Is a deposit required to schedule an appointment?
Yes. A deposit is required to schedule an appointment. If you meet the puppy and decide during your visit that the puppy is not the right fit for your family, the deposit is refunded according to our appointment policy.
Does Shady Oak Doodles charge California sales tax?
Yes. California sales tax is collected on puppy purchases as required by law.

Shady Oak Doodles is located in Dulzura in San Diego County, California. We work with families throughout California and across the United States and offer delivery options for families who are unable to pick up their puppy in person.
Does Shady Oak Doodles offer puppy delivery?
