About Shady Oak Doodles
Shady Oak Doodles is a family-owned Bernedoodle breeding program located on our 80-acre ranch in the foothills of San Diego County, California. We have been raising Bernedoodles since 2013, giving us more than a decade of experience developing our own established Multigen Bernedoodle bloodlines. Our program is focused on producing healthy, beautiful family companions with excellent temperaments, sound structure and soft, non-shedding coats.
Health testing is an important part of our breeding program. Our breeding dogs receive extensive genetic testing as well as applicable OFA health evaluations. We carefully select each pairing with consideration for health, temperament, structure, size and coat characteristics. Our puppies also receive a veterinary examination before placement and leave Shady Oak Doodles with our 24-month health guarantee.
Our puppies are raised in our home with hands-on care, early socialization and exposure to everyday life. Having raised generations of Multigen Bernedoodles, we have developed our program around the traits families consistently value in their companions. We offer Micro Mini, Munchkin, Mini, Medium and Standard Bernedoodles, allowing families to choose from a wide range of sizes while benefiting from the experience behind our established breeding program.
Families may bring home a traditional eight-week-old puppy or choose one of our Started Puppies for additional training and development before going home. Our Started Puppy Training Program can continue through 20 weeks of age and provides a foundation in crate training, potty training, leash skills, basic obedience, socialization, confidence building and everyday manners.
Although Shady Oak Doodles is located in San Diego County, we work with families throughout California and across the United States, as well as Canada and Mexico. Private flight-nanny delivery is available to many major airports for families who cannot travel to Southern California. Whether a family chooses an eight-week-old puppy or a Started Puppy, our goal is to provide thoughtful guidance throughout the process and raise puppies that are well prepared for their transition into their new homes.

In 2018, we built our dream family ranch, where we enjoy the simple joys of country living and the love and companionship of our furry friends. Raising only the best Bernedoodle puppies has become a passion for us and we put our hearts into ensuring each puppy in nurtured in a loving and playful environment. Our puppies are raised as part of our family, with plenty of space to roam, play and grow. We believe in giving each puppy the best start in life, so they can bring joy, love and loyalty to their future families.
